Love Letter #10: How to shift your mindset to be less hard on yourself

Because you deserve to be kinder to yourself:)

Dear Lovely Human Being,

It’s been a while!!! I didn’t release an episode last week as I had some family visiting me in Australia, so thank you very much for your patience:)

Also… apologies to my friends in Australia (because it is already Thursday right now)😅 I took a little longer than I wanted to finish this love letter, but I hope you still enjoy it <3

If you are often hard on yourself, this love letter will help you shift your mindset and be kinder to yourself.

In this love letter, we cover:

🌟 My children’s book “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself” as a resource

🌟 Magnification and minimisation

🌟 Scientific metaphor to shift our mindset

🌟 Journaling advice

🌟 And a bit of rambling :p

By the way, if you are curious about my book, feel free to check it out here :)

Alsooo, if you want to listen to the Spotify playlist I talked about at the beginning of the episode, here it is 😂

(Side note, I did NOT create this playlist, so these emojis were NOT my doing hahaha).

I didn’t mention any specific research paper today, but if you want to read more about magnification and minimisation, here is a useful resource!

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead (and long weekend for my Aussie friends) <3

Love,

Your Favourite Scientist
